STS301 stainless steel bar is a chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel capable of high strength and ductility by cold working. STS301 stainless steel bar cannot be hardened by heat treatment. STS301 stainless steel bar is non-magnetic in the annealed state and becomes increasingly magnetic as it is cold worked. STS301 stainless steel bar exhibits high strength and good ductility when cold worked.STS301 stainless steel bar is an improved form of 304 stainless steel with lower chromium and nickel content to increase the work hardening range. STS301 stainless steel bar is suitable for the production of trains, aircraft, conveyor belts, vehicles, bolts and other parts.
